We decided to head to Florida so we could see Brian's dad for February break this year. It has been 2 years since we have been down and it's always nice to get out of the cold for a week right in the middle of winter!
We had an amazing time and definitely stayed busy. Annabelle loved swimming in the pool and we planed a few excursions for some extra fun!
We flew in on Monday evening, President's day. As soon as we finished dinner after getting in Annabelle asked to swim so we had a night swim before bed.
Our first full day we swam in the morning then went out to miniature golf. We even got Bob to come along to join in on the fun. It was a hot afternoon so by the end, Annabelle was ready to cool off in the pool (which was 95 degrees LOL).
On Wednesday we went on our annual trip to the Shell Factory. We went through and saw all the animals and then Brian & Annabelle did the zip line. We also played a round of miniature golf there as well.
Thursday we went out to Gator Mike's to do some go-carting, in between swimming (I'm sensing a pattern of activities).
Friday we headed south toward the everglades and went on our first airboat ride. It was so fun and we saw lots of wildlife including a few gators up close and personal. We stopped for lunch on our way home and swam all afternoon.
On Saturday Uncle Gary & Aunt Kimberly took us out on their boat out to Fort Myers for lunch then out to find some dolphins. When we got back to their house Annabelle asked to swim so we stayed for a couple hours and she had a blast.
Sunday we hung around the house, mainly just swimming & visiting. We headed back north on Monday afternoon but not before one last swim in the morning.
Overall it was an amazing time with absolutely perfect weather! We had so much fun and one of the best parts (for me) is that we slept in everyday while there, something that doesn't ever happen for us. Looking forward to heading back next February break!
