Quarantine week 36

This week's weather was all over, it was warm, cold, rainy, and even snowed!  We did some baking, sharing some with our neighbors and got to get outside a bit to play.

We added some blue lights around the pool area to give the palm tree an island feel.  This week we will start working on decorating the inside of the house now that the outside is done.  It's so fun riding the golf cart around and looking at the lights.  Speaking of the cart, it's now the Christmas cart - all decked out with lights!!

Thanksgiving is this week but this year there will be no trip to Erie, no family dinner, no celebrating Christmas & birthdays, and no festival of trees.  I'm sad but I know it's for the best, keeping everyone healthy & safe!

Quarantine week 35

My 30th weekly blog, wow, I never thought I would still be going and we would be back to March precautions.  Our numbers are higher than our last peak and the US total death toll is nearing 250,000 :(

This week Annabelle caught a cold with a runny nose and cough so she had to get her first COVID test.  It came back negative but those 24 hours were nerve wrecking for sure!  We didn't think she could have it because she wasn't around anyone without a mask but it's natural to worry.

I also cut Brian's hair for the first time.  I've shaved up the back and sides before but this was the fist time I cut the top.  He liked it and said I can keep cutting it from now on so he doesn't have to go anywhere.

Not much else new, Bug had his annual well checkup, we played with friends (masks on only), and decorated for Christmas.

Quarantine week 34

It has been an eventful week!  Our COVID numbers are soaring in Monroe County, Webster specifically.  Curious to see what Cuomo has to say tomorrow about it.  We are now wearing masks around everyone outside our family and only playing outside.

Good news, after 4 days it was decided that Trump lost the election to Biden, thank god!  Trump is of course challenging the election and his supporters can't believe that an intelligent sane person won over the insane tweeting narcissist.

This week has been unseasonably warm so we decided to put up the Christmas decorations outside.  Everything looks so festive, it makes me happy!
